	Oh Susannah! 2:00 - 3:00 \| Location: Children's Stage A fabulously fun interactive music show for families and young children. Award-winning children’s singer/ songwriter Susan McNelis performs familiar favorites and lively originals with her acoustic guitar. Sing, dance, clap, tap or play one of Susannah’s rhythm instruments, everyone is encouraged to participate. Celebrate the magic of music with Oh Susannah! Oh Susannah performs for hundreds of children and parents every week in the Mid-Atlantic area. She’s a regular at community events, festivals and dozens of other venues including the John F. 	Storytelling 1:00 - 2:00 \| Location: Children's Stage The Twinbrook Tellers are from Storytellers' Club which meets monthly during the school year at Twinbrook Library in Rockville, MD. At Storytellers' Club, children ages 5-14 are invited to tell stories (only if they want to), listen to stories and play storytelling games. Children who are comfortable telling tales for a more public audience are invited to join the Twinbrook Tellers in performances at area libraries, story swaps, and festivals. Over the past six years they have performed at the Glen Echo Folk Festival, Montgomery County Harvest Festival, Takoma Park MiniFest, and, of course, The Kensington Day of the Book Festival. 	MusicalFrench 12:30 - 1:00 \| Location: Children's Stage MusicalFrench is a fun, interactive, and musical French-learning time for young children. Come watch Madame Beatrice tell silly stories, sing songs and play games... in French! Because using music as a stimulus makes information easier to remember, reduces stress, increases interest, and sets the stage for learning... because learning a new language is child's play, child's song...let's celebrate the French language and Music together. 	Young Poets: Exodus Poetry Workshop Time: 3:30 to 4:00 (Closing) \| Location: Children’s Stage Area Poets of the Exodus Poetry Workshop are homeschooled teens who meet once each week with Eve Burton to read, discuss, and write poetry. Eve has been bringing the Twinbrook Tellers, a group of children who do oral storytelling, to the Day of the Book Festival since 2007. This year she is delighted to have her class of poets at the festival as well. Eve is a recipient of the Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Commission, Arts Educator of the Year Award, 2010.
	Fun with Nature and an Exotic Animal! Time: 3:00 to 3:30 \| Location: Children’s Stage Area Julia Heckathorn, the award-winning author and Illustrator of the Search for the Hidden Clover children's series, brings a rare animal, such as an anteater or sugar glider to give a once-in-a-lifetime experience to her audience who get to meet an animal most have never seen in real life. Her wonder-filled books bring about more joy as she has her audience participate in their interactive and education activities, fun for children and adults alike. 	Scavenger Hunt for Kids of All Ages Time/Location: All day on Howard Ave; Pick up bags and info at the Welcome Table. Follow a list of clues to the final and win a prize!
	Special Children's Author Readings & Signings Author Lulu Delacre will be signing books at the Noyes Library Foundation Table from 12-2. Marjuan Canady, author of Callaloo: A Jazz Folktale will be reading at her table at 12:30 & 2:30.
