Abbie and Zoey and Maya and Rose
Jonathan, Griffin and Justin Two
have written some poems, and will share them with you.
Their work is inspired by poems they’ve read,
by quotes, observations, and looking ahead.
They’ve penned pantoums and villanelles,
limericks and rhymes and verse so free
Take a moment to listen to them

Poets of the Exodus Poetry Workshop are homeschooled teens who meet once each week with Eve Burton to read, discuss, and write poetry. Eve has been bringing the Twinbrook Tellers, a group of children who do oral storytelling, to the Day of the Book Festival since 2007. This year she is delighted to have her class of poets at the festival as well. Eve is a recipient of the Montgomery County Arts & Humanities Commission, Arts Educator of the Year Award, 2010.
