Once upon a time...
...there was a magical place with lots of whimsical characters and some strange folks, but not to worry it's just K. Michael Crawford's art and children's books. Michael has created first-of-its-kind drawing books, where a reader has to answer clues to know what to draw on the page.

Montgomery Art Association
www.montgomeryart.org | Facebook
Montgomery Art Association was established in 1954, and the membership fees are kept low to encourage emerging artists to join and be a part of a supportive creative community. The group has monthly get-togethers, workshops and presentations. The MAA Gallery in Westfield Wheaton Mall has been open since December 2010, and has new shows each month. MAA also sponsors the Kensington Labor Day Weekend Art Show among others.

Desiree Sterbini (Silver Spring, MD)
www.dezsterbini.com | Facebook
Artist and Illustrator for Ellen S. Cromwell's children's book "Splash Puddle Splash". Desiree is a Silver Spring artist who works in Sennier oil pastels and Prismacolor colored pencils to create award winning art. She layers and blends the vibrant colors with her fingers and torillions on archival textured paper, board and canvas. Children, women of color, and the simple lives of ordinary people are her primary subjects, often with the theme of the innocence of childhood.
