Dr. Sorenson founded Waverly Auctions in 1978 and served as its President until 2004 when he sold the business to Quinn’s Auctions. Under their ownership, he served as Director of Waverly Auctions until 2009, and now provides expert consultation to Waverly in the cataloging of rare books, maps and atlases, fine prints, autographs and manuscripts. Having passed a Core Course in Valuation Studies Featuring USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), he is now actively engaged in formal appraisals in the above areas of his extensive experience.



Watercolor Workshop

Local artist and art teacher Firouzeh Sadeghi invites you to discover the fun of doing your own watercolor painting. Learn basic tricks and techniques with an eye to achieving exciting effects. Adults, children, beginners, advanced, and everyone in between is invited! Have a seat, paint along, or just watch and ask questions. Supplies are provided and everything is free!
How to Start Up Your Own Publishing Company

Codorus Press is an independent literary collective made up of current and former journalists who decided to buck the Publishing Industrial Complex and form a company to publish each other's fiction and other literary pursuits. They believe anyone can do what they have done, and they'll present an interactive short seminar on how to start up your own publishing house (with your friends and things you might find around the house).
