Learn how to create a cartoon character

Children's Book Writer and Illustrator, K .Michael Crawford will demonstrate how to create your own cartoon character. Come join the fun and learn how to draw a whimsical character. Imagination required!

Dreamer & The Moon: Reading and Activities
Time/Location: All day at Irene's tent on Howard Ave
Come and join The Dreamer and the Moon, storybook reading and embark on a magical journey! You'll Discover what it takes to make dreams come true! Be sure to visit the Dreamer & The Moon table to enjoy free coloring pages of moons, stars, ballerinas and dot to dot! (crayons supplied). Guess how many moons are in the guessing jar, and win a free book! One drawing per hour!

Storytelling
Time/Location: 1:30pm on Howard Ave, Location tba
The Twinbrook Tellers are from Storytellers' Club which meets monthly during the school year at Twinbrook Library in Rockville, MD. At Storytellers' Club, children ages 5-14 are invited to tell stories (only if they want to), listen to stories and play storytelling games. Children who are comfortable telling tales for a more public audience are invited to join the Twinbrook Tellers in performances at area libraries, story swaps, and festivals. Over the past six years they have performed at the Glen Echo Folk Festival, Montgomery County Harvest Festival, Takoma Park MiniFest, and, of course, The Kensington Day of the Book Festival.

Come and meet Susie. Watch her do tricks, learn her touching story, and get some animal training tips.
