I like to think of myself as a jack-of-all-trades. I am a Studio Art major in college and do artwork in many styles including still life, abstract, landscape, portrait, and Japanese anime. I also dabble in crafts from jewelry to perler beads. Wherever my ideas go, I follow.

Desiree Sterbini (Silver Spring, MD)
Facebook
Artist and Illustrator for Ellen S. Cromwell's children's book "Splash Puddle Splash". Desiree is a Silver Spring artist who works in Sennier oil pastels and Prismacolor colored pencils to create award winning art. She layers and blends the vibrant colors with her fingers and torillions on archival textured paper, board and canvas. Children, women of color, and the simple lives of ordinary people are her primary subjects, often with the theme of the innocence of childhood.

Photography comes from the Greek meaning "light writing"; photo = light, graphes = writing. I like to extend this meaning of light to also include it to mean elation, joy, and happiness. I hope my images rekindle a sense of lightness in people's hearts, to bring out our intrinsic nature.
